Amtrak GE P32BWH (Dash 8-32BWH) - Amtrak 16th Street Diesel Facility - Chicago, Illinois, March 29, 1994 - The first new General Electric locomotives purchased by Amtrak, since the P30CH's in 1975-76, were the "P32's." They also wore one of the wildest Amtrak locomotive paint schemes, dubbed the "Pepsi Can" image.
Amtrak EMD F40PH - Conrail (ex-PRR) at 26th & Canal Streets - Chicago, Illinois, August 23, 1993 - Where were you in 1993? Events that year included the death of Audrey Hepburn and Frank Zappa. Dallas defeated Buffalo 52-17 in the Super Bowl, and the song of the year was "Tears in Heaven", by Eric Clapton. Amtrak F40's 307 and 207 are roaring out of Chicago with the eastbound Capital Limited, in late August of '93.
Amtrak GE P40DC - Union Station (Roosevelt Road) - Chicago, Illinois, October 23, 1993 - Two Amtrak trains are departing Chicago's Union Station side-by-side. The train on the right is a "Michigan" train, and the long-distance one on the left is unknown. With a late morning departure, and two dome cars, does anyone know which train it is? After departing Union, it took the St. Charles Air Line toward the IC as a clue.
