Australia takes delivery of UK ship Largs Bay

Royal Fleet Auxalliary Largs BayAustralia has officially taken delivery of a surplus British amphibious transport ship which will enter navy service later this year.

Largs Bay, to be renamed HMAS Choules, has been handed over formally to the Australian Defence Force at Falmouth Dockyard in the United Kingdom.

The vessel sets sail for Australia in November, arriving in Western Australia in mid-December where it will be officially commissioned.
