The latest air defense planes were shown at this year's Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition at Seoul Airport. Of special interest to South Korea was the RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned spy plane produced by American defense contractor Northrop Grumman.
South Korea has been considering the purchase of four Global Hawks for some years now and has recently been thinking about canceling the deal after the asking price doubled to around $820 million.
