D & H Railway

The Delaware and Hudson Railway is a railroad that operates in the northeastern United States. Since 1991 it has been a subsidiary of the Canadian Pacific Railway, although CPR has assumed all operations and the D&H does not maintain any locomotives and rolling stock.

The Delaware & Hudson, the only railroad that offers passenger service between New York and Montreal, now operates this modern passenger equipment with high speed diesel locomotives on its daylight train, "The Laurentian." One of the last four Alco PA passenger diesels to be used in daily service. The PA's are generally used on the Boston to Framingham commuter service. Engineer Bob Evans has received a highball from his conductor and is leaving Newtonville, Mass. with train No. 422 for Boston.
