SBB RBe 2/4 - Kreuzlingen station, Thurgau, Switzerland - June 03, 1965 - Another piece of SBB exotica, now long scrapped, the so called 'Jura Pfeil' (Jura Arrow) railcar stands at Kreuzlingen while working the shuttle service to Konstanz only a few hundred metres over the border into Germany. It was built in 1938 with a top speed of 110km/h and 600hp rating.

SBB Ae 8/14 - Goschenen station, Uri, Switzerland - June 04, 1965 - The middle of three 1AA1AA1+1AA1AA1 double locos Nos 11801, 11851 and 11852, built for the Gotthard line in 1931, 1932 and 1939 arrives at the top of the north ramp from Erstfeld to the Gotthard tunnel at Goschenen on a miserable wet day. This example was of 8,250hp and was given modern cabs in 1960. Cars wait in the background to take the car ferry train through the tunnel in the days before the Gotthard road tunnel.

SBB Ae 3/5 - Romanshorn station, Thurgau, Switzerland - June 20, 1966 - Rod drive 4-6-2 electric No 10459 passes under what was to become the last semaphore signal gantry in Switzerland as it arrives at Romanshorn with the 11.22 Rorschach to Schaffhausen train. There were 60 of these locos, Nos 10401-60, built by SLM with electrical components by Oerlikon in 1924-26.

BLS Lotschbergbahn Ce 4/6 - Spiez, Switzerland - August 10, 1964 - Aged BLS 1B-B1 electric No 302 from 1920 waits in Spiez station with a freight train from Bern on an August night in 1964.
